Membership Aggreement
This agreement is between BUA MUAY THAI ("the Club") and the person named below ("the Member"). It sets out the membership options, fees, the trial class offer and the terms that apply once you join.
1. Membership Options and Fees
The Member chooses one option below. Memberships include up to 4 classes per week for adults and 3 classes per week for Teens.
Teen Membership
Members under aged 12-17
€50 per month
Adult Membership
Members 18 and over
€70 per month
Drop-in Class
Anyone, teen or adult
€15 per class, paid on the day
Drop-in classes carry no ongoing commitment and are not covered by sections 4 and 5.
2. Trial class offer
- New members receive 30% off their first month's fee. The offer applies to the first monthly payment only.
-The standard fee applies from the second month.
- The offer is available once per person and only to those who have not been a Club member before.
- The offer does not apply to drop-in classes.
3. Payment terms
- Fees are due on/or before the 1st of each month. If you join part-way through a month, your first payment is pro-rated: the monthly fee divided by the number of days in that month, multiplied by the number of days remaining (including your start date), rounded to the nearest euro.
- This amount is due on or before your first class.
- Your next payment is the full monthly fee, due on the 1st of the following month. Example: An adult member starting on 19 October (13 days remaining of 31) pays €29 for October, then €70 from 1 November. A 30% discount will be applied to your first month of training if you sign up in November / December 2026
4. Cancellation
Membership continues month to month until cancelled. The Member (or parent or guardian) may cancel by giving 14 days written notice by email or in person to the Club.
- Fees are payable up to the end of the notice period.
- Fees are not refunded for classes missed, holidays or temporary absence.
- If the Club cancels a class, it will offer a replacement session; if the Club closes permanently, fees paid for unused time are refunded.
- The Club may end a membership immediately for serious breaches of the conduct rules in section 5.
5. Attendance and conduct
The Member agrees to:
- Follow instructions from coaches at all times and train only in classes for their age group.
- Train with control, respect training partners and never use techniques outside the class setting to harm anyone.
- Keep to the Club's hygiene and kit rules, including clean kit, trimmed nails and no jewellery.
- Use the skills learned only in training, competition or lawful self-defence.
- Tell the coach before class about any injury, illness or condition that could affect safe training.
6. Health, safety and waiver
Muay Thai is a contact sport and carries a risk of injury. Before training, every Member must also sign the Club's separate Waiver and Health Declaration. This agreement does not replace it, and the Member may not train until both documents are signed.
7. Members under 18
A parent or guardian must sign for any Member under 18. By signing, they confirm they have parental responsibility, consent to the Member training, and accept responsibility for the fees and for the Member's conduct. Cancellation notices from a parent or guardian are accepted on the Member's behalf.
8. Photos and videos
The Club may take photos and videos during classes and events and use them on its website, social media and promotional material. Consent is optional and does not affect membership. It can be withdrawn at any time by emailing info.jroche@gmail.com, after which the Club will stop using the images in future and remove them from its own channels where it reasonably can. For Members under 18, the parent or guardian gives or refuses consent.
9. Data protection and general terms
The Club collects the details in section 1 only to run the membership, contact the Member and respond to emergencies. They are stored securely, not shared with third parties except where required by law, and deleted when no longer needed after the membership ends. The Member may ask to see, correct or delete their data by contacting info.jroche@gmail.com.
This agreement is governed by the laws of Ireland. Any change to it must be in writing and agreed by both parties.
